Sydney J. Harris once said "The commonest fallacy among women is that simply having children makes one a mother—which is as absurd as believing that having a piano makes one a musician."
And we think she’s right! Maybe being amother means swimming with your children even if you risk drowning (of a 4 feet pool kidding, mommah). Or maybe it means making your children smile when they hear your heels clicking, while they’re half way dreamland during Asian History. Or it could also mean someone who’ll go room to room and brag about how her children just won 1st place, again. Or it might be having a site named after you. Or having a long line waiting to talk to you.
But We doubt it’s just that. We guess it’s the way we get jealous and annoyed when you call us 2-6. Or the way we’d give up anything to bond with you and make you happy. We guess it’s the way we’d extend 15 minutes HR to 20 or 30 minutes and an hour if we can. Or the way your jokes,no matter how corny they are, make us smile and laugh. I guess it’s the way we cry so hard when we realize we’re not your students anymore or that we wont see you as often. We think it’s the you’re a mother because a kid no matter how old he or she is will still go to his or her mother when things go wrong—And you’re that, you are our person: when Life sucks we go to you and complain cause we know youll listen; and when life throws us a million blessing it’s you we go to and think of aswell.
You’re our mom, not just for a year but for a lifetime. There wont be another set of sumokids right? We have the sole copyright, and we wouldn’t sell it.
