• the newsgathering thingy should be e-mailed before 5pm on August 8, 2007.
• Read the following pages of your Write tool book:

1. Guidelines pp.17-27
2. Samples pp. 28-31
3. Sample stories pp.39-53
4. pp.58-59

• On a size 1 write the 1st draft of your news stories. Pattern them from the samples you've read. (remember the "1 sentence, 1 paragraph rule") deadline: thursday, August 9,2007
• along with the first draft of your news stories, submit the hard copy or printout of you newsgathering.
